When morning dawns and my flesh feels weak, My heart becomes heavy, my failures start to speak - Help me to hear Your loving voice Calling me to make You my choice. Opening Prayer Given by Billy Sunday to Open A Session of the House of Representatives in 1918:

Recently reading a biography on the life of Billy Sunday, I ran across this prayer he prayed to open a session of the House of Representatives in 1918. This prayer tugged on my heartstrings considering that there are some who would see prayer removed from every faction of our lives. Christians are called bigots and intolerant, but as my husband was told recently in a conversation by one such person, their intolerance for Christianity is justified and even necessary. It seems strange that a group of people who follow the teachings of One who taught that they are to love their enemies are considered so dangerous. If you aren't aware of a fire chief that was recently relieved of his job because he wrote a book for his church in which he said God says homosexuality is wrong, please read here.
