A Beautiful Baby Shower!
I put off writing about little Sonya's baby shower because it was a little overwhelming to me! Don't get me wrong - it was wonderful - I just felt so humbled by all the sweet ladies who showed up and very literally showered us with gifts for our little girl!
Mom Hodge did an absolutely beautiful job on the the decorations and the food! Of course, she was running on steroids, (due to some complications with MS) so she seemed to have an incredible amount of energy the days prior to the shower! Please keep her in your prayers!

She went with a classy vintage/shaby chic theme. Everything was beautiful! I wish that I had taken pictures, but I stole some and will have to steal some more later! I'm not sure how many ladies we had in total, but it was enough to make it seem like quite the gathering! We had the ladies from Tabernacle Baptist, the ladies from our church, and the ladies from Fergies. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, which made it much easier for me to enjoy myself! Of course, I had Grandma Hodge there to entertain me! Oh! And she even introduced me to a delicious recipe for diabetic granola bars! They are wonderful! (Unless your fighting heartburn! Stay away from them then!) I'll have to post the recipe after I try to make them!
Little Londyn was there to keep everyone entertained! She is just the cutest - even with her funny faces that she's started to make! She's going to make a great cousin!
After much begging, they allowed me to keep my husband with me! He coached the little girls on the front row to "Ooh and Aww" like they were at a firework show. It was pretty cute!
We were left feeling very humbled by the load of gifts, and by the sweet spirit of all the woman that were able to come. God has blessed us with some very wonderful friends at church and at work! Oh - and all the one's we're related to! They pretty great as well! :)
In the end, we were all pretty worn, (just ask Daniel and Londyn) but it was a wonderful experience. Thank you God for all the undeserved blessings you have given us! Help us to be the parents you would have us to be for our little girl!
