Sonya Joy is Half a Year Old!!!

What a big girl we have now! Well, maybe not SO big... but OLD... like dirt... just cuter.
I'm late in my posting - again! But I realized with the closing of the month, that I had hardly taken a picture all month. (What a bad mom!) I think being trapped inside all winter has finally gotten too me. I am craving sunshine. I don't want any more pictures of us trapped inside cold dark houses!
Growth:
Sonya Joy weighs 12lbs 2oz and is 25 inches long! The doctor is happy with her growth. She's still fitting into most of her 0-3 month clothes, but she also fits into most of her 3-6 months clothes. It makes me a little sad when we  have to get rid of perfectly good clothes, so I enjoy that she isn't growing too quickly.
Food
Sonya still is a milk baby, but we have been trying new foods. Her favorite is apple sauce, but she also loves bananas, and carrots. She's not sure about avocado, and has gotten too smart to be fooled into thinking that water is a treat... Unless it is in Mom's cup... Then it is yummy!
Friends
Sonya Joy loves her Mommy and Daddy the most! (We're trying to enjoy it while it lasts.) She has started to reach toward whoever she wants. She loves Grandpap and Grammy Hodge. Grandpap Hodge makes the funniest noises, and she'll watch him when he's in the same room, waiting for him to entertain her.
We've started to deal with separation anxiety. She doesn't like to be handed off, but we're hoping she'll outgrow that quickly.
Favorite Toys
Feet are so fun! Especially when you realize that you can put them in your mouth! Yum, yum!
I believe she thinks Daddy is her big toy. When he comes home from work to have lunch with us, her eyes light right up. It's the equivalent of having your very own amusement park. She loves being thrown up in the air and she loves all the noises and faces he makes. Grammy and I have told Matt that he needs to work on being a little but less entertaining, because he makes us seem REALLY, REALLY boring!
Sleep
Sonya Joy slept through the night almost every night this last month! She sleeps 11 hours some nights, making her mother very happy!
Sonya Joy, we love you more and more each day. You have made our lives so bright. We pray that you will find God at an early age, and that your desire will be to Him first. I don't know what life will hold for you, but I do know God wants to carry you through. We live in a dark world, but we pray that God will light your way. You have Daddy and Mommy's hearts. Don't grow too fast!
Love you Sweetheart,
Dad and Mom
