Making the Introductions

I'm starting to blog again, not because my life is so interesting, but because I love the idea of journaling and being able to look back on the past and see the things - great and small - God has done. I may be the only one who ever reads this blog, but if it helps me to remember the goodness of God in my life, than it will be worth it.

On the slight chance that you are not me and you are reading this than I'd better introduce myself. My name is Rebekah Hodge.

I will have been married for a year to the greatest guy on earth come August 10th, and  we will be adding a little bundle of joy to our family sometime in late October. Matthew and I are excited about our little addition, as well as petrified at the thought of parenting. Believe me, the mixed emotions are confusing even to us!

I am working right now in a bakery, but I am greatly looking forward to hanging up my apron, only to don another - that of a stay at home mom! I have so much to learn, and I could not be more excited!

My father-in-law pastors at Quarryville Baptist Church, and my sweet husband, along with working a full time job, does everything in his power to assist him. Whether it be multimedia productions, flier distribution, family visitation, or congregational song leading, my husband will jump in wherever he is needed. We love our church, and we're excited to get to serve God in it and watch it grow.

I can't think of anything else interesting to share about myself, so at least I was being honest about not being the most exciting person in the world! I do pray that God will use this blog in my life and maybe even yours as I learn what it is to be a mother and a better Christian. May it bring glory to God.

Signing Off,
Rebekah Hodge

"Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest."
